Successful Launch of FUTURE:TRIAL STFNs in Munich

On October 9th, 2025, the city of Munich became a launchpad for the future of clinical research. Future:Trials 2025 marked the kick-off of the 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘:𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗦 – 𝗦𝗧𝗙𝗡𝘀 initiative, a bold new platform and international innovation network designed to rethink how trials are designed, run, and experienced in an evolving healthcare landscape.

Co-organised by Petko Iliev, MBA (Clinovate NET GmbH & Co KG),
𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘃 (𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀/OncoInnovate), and Dr. Eva Wolf (𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗠𝗨𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵), and held as a sister event to OncoInnovate, the gathering brought together a truly international community of stakeholders.

Speakers and partners from over 10 countries, including 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮, 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗨𝗞, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗔, and beyond, highlighted the shared global urgency to improve how clinical trials translate into better outcomes for patients.

Held in memory of Dr. med. Stefan Preis, the day opened with a spirit of reflection and ambition—setting the tone for what would become a fast-paced series of keynotes, panels, and startup showcases.
Among the speakers and partners were representatives from big pharma, hospital networks, CROs and research sites, academic institutions, patient organisations, regulators, startups, and scaleups—each bringing a critical perspective to the table.
The conversations covered everything from reimagining site operations, building transformative technology, the role of AI, innovative patient recruitment, unlocking clinical trial data, designing medtech trials.
The 13 innovators and startups presented their solutions to the wider audience.
